Who we are
Keeplin is run by Connected Cars Augmented FZCO, Dubai Silicon Oasis, DDP, Building A1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This policy covers the Keeplin app, the Keeplin tracker in your vehicle and the Keeplin fleet dashboard. Questions about your data: info@keeplin.io.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work.
- Your account: your name, email address and phone number, and for a fleet, the company's name and contact.
- Your vehicle, from the tracker: its location and route, speed, trips and kilometres, engine and battery status, fuel level, diagnostic fault codes, and driving events such as harsh braking, a possible crash, towing or the tracker being unplugged. Also the vehicle's plate, VIN and the names you give it.
- What you add: trip labels, costs and service records, and an emergency contact's name and phone number if you choose to add one. We never contact that person; only you can share your location with them after a possible crash.
- The app on your phone: a random install ID, a push notification token, your time zone, language and settings, and the IP address you connect from (for security).
We do not collect your phone's location, your microphone, contacts or photos. The camera is used only to scan the tracker's QR code when you choose to, and the picture is not saved. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
We use your data only to run Keeplin for you:
- show your vehicle's location, trips, kilometres, health and driving score;
- send you alerts, such as a possible crash, towing or service due, and sign-in codes by email;
- let a fleet manager see the vehicles of their own fleet;
- keep the service secure, stop misuse and fix problems;
- answer you when you contact us.
We don't use your data for advertising.
Who can see it
- You see your own account and your vehicle's data.
- Your fleet manager, if your vehicle belongs to a company fleet, sees that fleet's vehicles, their location, trips and driving.
- A previous driver of the vehicle keeps access only to their own past trips.
- Keeplin staff see data only when needed for support or security.
We use a few service providers who handle data only on our behalf:

We don't sell your personal data. We share it with authorities only when the law requires it.
Where it's stored and for how long
Your data is stored on our servers at Scaleway in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on an encrypted disk. Encrypted backups are kept in Paris, France, for 14 days. The app always uses encrypted connections.
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your name, email address and phone number. The vehicle's trip data is kept, no longer linked to you.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: in the app, Profile › Privacy › Export.
- Correct your details: in the app, Profile › Request a change, or email us.
- Delete your account: in the app, Profile › Delete account, or email us.
- Turn off notifications or the camera at any time in your phone's settings.
You can also ask us to restrict or stop using your data, or complain to your data protection authority. Email info@keeplin.io; we answer within one month.
Children
Keeplin is for drivers and fleets. It is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we post the new version here with its date. If a change is important, we also tell you in the app or by email.
